Green County PEAQ Alfalfa Readings  Area dairyman, livestock producers, and dealers are encouraged to follow the “predictive equations for alfalfa quality” (PEAQ) method, which predicts optimum dates for first cuttings by monitoring plant development and quality.  The PEAQ technique, developed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is a proven, low cost, method for instantly estimating forage quality of standing alfalfa.
