4-H Entrepreneurship Project

Green County 4-H youth have the unique opportunity to participate in a project area focused on entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs who take on the risk of starting new business ventures help grow our local economy. 4-H youth enrolled in the project learn about entrepreneurship and business ownership. Youth have can display under the project at the Green County Fair, and they can participate in a business plan writing component of the project. Green County Leaders

Green County Leaders is a community leadership program consisting of an orientation, 9 classes and a graduation. Classes are held the second Wednesday of each month, September through May. Classes focus on leadership skills and issues of concern to Green County communities. Participants network with local and non-local experts. To learn more about the program click here.

Green County Latino Needs Programming in the UW-Extension office targets an underserved and growing segment of Green County's population. To learn more about this programming click here.

Have you noticed when you read a novel or biography, you feel like you've become immersed in the world of the characters and their lives? We live our lives within our own world of class and culture, and understanding others' experiences is difficult. Reading literature can bring alive a world apart from our own and can help us understand others' experiences. We extend to you the inviation to read with us one or more of four literature selections written by Latinos or about Latinos' experiences in the U.S. For more information.
