Information about the South Central Wisconsin Master Gardener Association

The Wisconsin Master Gardener Program teaches volunteers who aid University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension Staff by helping people in the community better understand horticulture and their environment.

The South Central Master Gardener Association’s Mission is:

  1. To serve the needs of all gardeners in Green County and the surrounding area.
  2. To promote the continuing education of members through horticultural education, programs, tours, etc.
  3. To promote community service through volunteer activities.
  4. To recognize members who meet and maintain certification.
  5. To provide for the exchange of ideas and to provide opportunities to promote the understanding of responsible gardening practices
  6. To provide a link between the community and the UW-Extension.

South Central Wisconsin Master Gardeners now have the use of a reference library to use in answering questions from homeowners or in researching topics you may be interested in. The reference materials are located in the hallway area near the Green County UW-Extension Office in the Justice Center, Monroe. A listing of the reference materials that are currently available.
