Eating Smart Being Active Graphic

 

The Expanded Food Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) of Green County EFNEP logo selfis a Family Living Program that is designed to provide nutrition education to families with children from ages newborn to 18 years. Through direct learning experiences and community partnerships, nutrition education takes place in groups or individual homes. The nutrition educator will teach participants a series of “hands-on” lessons.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Choose and fix meals and snacks that are nutritious, affordable and safe.
  • Manage their resources to improve their food security and health.
  • Balance the food they eat with physical activity.
